Kathryn Witt is senior vice president and general counsel at NCSolutions (NCS), where she serves on the executive leadership team and is responsible for managing the company’s commercial contracts needs. In this role, she is the trusted advisor to the organization’s senior executives, as well as a consultative and creative partner to the Sales and Business Development teams. She is also the corporate secretary for NCS.

With a keen instinct for balancing legal risks with organizational growth, Kathryn provides strategic legal advice in tune with the continuously evolving advertising landscape. She is responsible for developing legal operational strategies that increase the company’s speed to market and ensure financial growth. Her expertise combined with a focus on creating a smooth legal process enables clients to benefit from NCS’s solutions early in the relationship.

Previously, Kathryn was senior vice president and general counsel (Commercial) at Nielsen. In this role, she served on the senior leadership team for the consumer data business in the US, EU and Australia, and directed a team of lawyers and paralegals. Prior to this, she was the go-to lawyer for Nielsen’s largest and most complex client contracts in the consumer data business, including agreements valued at up to $750 million, covering data, software, technology, analytic and consulting services, as well as strategic alliances.

Kathryn also has held senior commercial counsel positions at IRI, and the foundation of her expertise comes from the training she received during her tenure at General Electric.

Kathryn is passionate about making an impact in the world and learning about other cultures. To that end, Kathryn travels extensively with her husband and, after raising her own children, has opened her Chicago home to foreign exchange students. She also has an ardent interest in the performing arts and is a founding Board member and the first Board president of the House Theater of Chicago.
